I liked this movie so much, I bought it! I'm not normally a crime/gangster fan, but this movie blew me away! It's direction was perfect, and the acting was superb! I'm a huge fan of DiCaprio's, I love his acting. Every movie I've seen with him I love (except The Beach) and Tom Hanks will always be amazing. I highly recommend this movie to all types of movie-viewers!

An almost-come back movie for spielberg - Catch Me If You Can Reviews

I must say "Catch Me If You Can" isn't really the sci-fi, drama, or war type movies that Spielberg is famous for, but it certainly is a comeback for the blockbusting disaster "A.I." I understand that Spielbery used his great imagination at illustrating humanity and triumphant human spirit in that movie, but mixing it with Stanley Kubrick's fame for making eerie and dark films, it was a like the bad taste of a beef and chicken soup. But "Catch Me If You Can" is cheery and colorful. You don't get bored with this movie because of its quick pace. But there are somethings in the plot that seemed far-fetched and unexplained like him being a credited medical doctor for a year - Won't people ask him at least once to make a full diagnosis on some patient's condition and find out he is a fake? If I didn't see the Bonus Materials I wouldn't have known that Frank Abagnale Jr. faked a certificate that says he is a Harvard graduate but a kind of Doctor-in-Training who can't yet diagnose yet. Stuff like that you got to sort of explain in the movie or it will leave audience hanging with a question mark. Anyways, I appreciate the enormous work that crew has to put through in order to recreate the 60s - all the sets and customes. And the story seems original, as well as celebrate the stroy of a young, brilliant, misguided paper-hanging criminal. Overall, B+. Memorable but not great.

I bought this on DVD to watch because people said it was good. It is based on a true story about a man that is wanted for forging checks. There are many twists in this story that gets him away from the cops. It has a good plot but it is very predictable and sometimes makes you think why can't they find him. It is a average movie that should be watch by any bored fan.

This is actually a funny movie. What makes it so funny is how people couldn't tell he was an 18 year old kid being a doctor, lawyer, ext... I mean it couldn't have been that hard! The acting was great and what shocked me was this is a true story.

this movie has left me speachless. the fact that it is a true story makes it more engrossing. i am impressed by the intelligence of frank abignale jr. watching this movie has made me learn lots about counterfeiting (not that i want to do that!) and that its not just about copying checks on ur copy machine. the story is overall outstanding, but there r sum parts that just dont flow together. i thought that tom hanks and leonardo dicaprio did a great job acting out their parts. they felt so real, and i could feel their emotion.

I am as big of a Hanks fan as you will find. SO naturally I enjoyed this movie since it had him in it. Anything made by Steven deserves a look as he has made himself the best film maker of our time. There were many touching moments as well as funny moments. It was nice to see the cast having fun with this film. I recommend this for fans of a getaway movie.

I'm not a Hanks or De Craprio fan by any means, but the performances in this movie are certainly worth respect. The story is the backbone for what was a rather dysjointed and unexplained trip through multiple lifestyles of a con-man (could have at least made a little sense of why he made the choices he did). It all wrapped up nicely at the end, and the fact it was based on real life made it that much more interesting. Direction was solid, though I could tell (being something of a film nut) that Spielberg didn't give this one his best effort/attention. I hope to see Mr. Spielberg make something worthy of the Academy in the coming years, I miss the passion of his earlier award-winning works. When he's on he's on, but his judgement in making action films is waning as he grows more into a man but holds on desperately to his childish impulses. Catch Me... is a clever film, just don't expect to be awed by anything it has to say (or didn't say).

This is such a great caper movie. Filled with good chase scenes and okay visuals. Leo Dicaprio is the perfect fit for this role. He plays this character right down to the last hair and I think he shoould have been nominated for an academy award to go along with the golden globe nomination he already had. I also liked Christopher Walken and Jennifer Garner's characters. Christopher Walken is always good, now playing Leo's father in the movie. Jennifer Garner adds that sweet little charm to the movie where it needs it the most. This a brilliant film with an okay storyline, great acting, and good direction and visuals. Go see Catch Me If You Can. You will love it.

The movie is worth watching, the way they put together the story was very good. Di Caprio's and Tom Hank's acting were great. They led me to believe in the story. Typical good guy-bad guy "bonding". One of those movies where you get to like the bad guy a lot. I recommend it for 15 and up (age) Some sex scenes. (Not much seen, but I wouldn't let my 12 year old watch it)

This film moves along and tells a very engrossing story. The two leads are a good match and well cast. The supporting actors are believable also.
